This is the final batch of cookies for the season - and a year-round favorite. The recipe can be found at Hershey's (called "peanut butter blossoms"). Our secret: using a box kit from Sam's - which contains 3 pouches of mix plus kisses - just add oil, water, and eggs.
Tips:
- The box says one pouch makes 36 cookies - when rolled out in one-inch balls. We made half-inch balls -or even smaller- and got 95 cookies from one mix!
- We also added an extra step, found in the original recipe: rolling the doughball in sugar before baking.
- Make sure to unwrap all the kisses and have them ready for when the cookies come out of the oven. That way you can press them right onto the hot cookies, acheiving the desired melting and adhering of chocolate.
