At the check-out line at Trader Joe's tonight, a box boasting "candy cane" caught my eye and called out to me. "Candy Cane Joe-Joe's" - basically, oreos with peppermint cream filling. !!! Of course, I bought a box. Maybe I will get some peppermint ice cream to go with (although none could be as good as made-in-East-Tennessee Mayfield's peppermint stick or the amazing peppermint homemade ice cream from Fenton's - see previous post).
The test will be to see how long I can make 1 pound of cookies (16 servings) last. I am guessing one week, max, which might be pretty generous.

Yum! My new favorite cookie! Jonathan and I took a box for the family to share this weekend and it lasted all of 3 days.
