About.com does a daily email, "Spanish word of the day for beginners" with basic words like hand, car, and father. Then the word is used in a sentence, and the sentences are the most interesting part. Some are insightful, some are unintentionally funny, and some are confusing, as in when would I ever need to say this - in Spanish or in English. Here are some of my favorites:
My country has everything: beach, mountains, deserts and much oil.
The doctor will examine your arm in order to make sure that the nerves and the circulation are not affected
My car is invisible to radar.
Women's shoes are one of the pleasures of life.
Milk is a nutritive liquid produced by the females of mammals.
They are eating much more than what is normal.
The hand and the fingers are the original "utensils" for eating.
In the future Ukrainians are going to buy more medicines that are expensive.
Each one of us participates in scientific processes every day.
Sickness produces a crisis for the sick person and for his immediate family.
Evidently this man does not deserve to be a father.

The follow up to the first one is today's sentence, using the word bicycle:
"The bicycle is a healthy, ecological, sustainable and very economical means of transportation."
Katie, you run across the darndest things! I think these sentences should have a regular spot or segment on your blog.
