Summer in San Jose has been lovely. As much as I miss the afternoon thunderstorms of Arizona (and the east coast), the weather here "on the pennisula" and "in the South Bay" is just perfect. But San Francisco has been a different story: daily fog, cold winds, and mist have meant sweaters-even a scarf-during July and August. However, people from the area promised a brief but late summer. Yesterday delivered. When I got to work, the sky was already clear and blue, and a jacket was not needed. By midday, the sun was bright and a sweater was not needed. I checked weather.com and it said it was 86 degrees! To make the most it, I walked down a few blocks to
Golden Gate park and enjoyed my lunch at the Arboretum and Botanical Gardens.
