homecoming

This weekend is homecoming - evidenced by the town of tents on the University mall. At lunch today, Kim, a public health friend who went to Auburn, said she was going to the football game this weekend. I replied: against USC? can you believe it?. And she agreed, saying I was the first person she'd talked to who got it. 

Who chooses a consistently top-ranked team for homecoming?? 

(We often marvel at the differences between SEC and non-SEC football...)
